an-an is a little authentic Japanese cafe, a hidden gem in the dockland town of Portslade, Brighton and Hove. The cafe serves a good selection of Japanese comfort food such as chicken Katsu, Yakisoba, Korokke and Onigiri. The heart-warming lunch set menu comes with rice, miso soup and pickles that are fairly filling. Their Japanese desserts range from traditional Daifuku to modern style cake like strawberry matcha shortcake, which often adores the customers. The food here is outstanding, all made with great passion. Very reasonable prices, welcoming service.
